I recently updated the ontology for a project by renaming the classifications. I tried checking the old labels from the day before the change and I see that the old labels have also been renamed. Is this expected?
yes, if you update used feature(s) in annotation the update will cascade to the existing annotation(s).
Is there a documentation for this specific case. I was under the impression that old labels get lost on changing the ontology.
We can had this to the doc - Features - Labelbox but updating existing feature will change the annotation downstream. You can archive those features (the existing one) if you no longer needing them and create new features to accommodate your new use cases.
