Hey, I am Brent - nice be a part of the Labelbox community. I am using labelbox to organize data (in the form of PDF documents), create annotations inside the documents, and export rich data sets based on those annotated documents to train a series of natural language processing machine learning models that are creating important intelligent automations for my customers in the group insurance industry.

Another way to say it is, I’m making a shared system of record for the employee benefits industry that’s powered by intelligent automation and labelbox is an important tool for me and my product.

Side note: I am a gamer and completionist so I will be attempting to earn all the badges. I just beat God of War Ragnarok on “God of War mode”, next up Labelbox on “Docs Full of Labels” mode. :crazy_face:

Hello, I’m Benjy, my interest in Labelbox relates to anomaly detection in concrete infrastructure like bridges. I’m just getting started, have worked through labeling, but am struggling to follow the particulars of creating an ontology, classification, to then see how a workflow leads to using the labels to train a model. The tools are sophisticated, the help pages appear super comprehensive, albeit confusing at times when the instructions veer from what I encounter in the GUI.

Hello everyone,

I’m Steven Hieb, and I’m incredibly excited to join this team. While I’m eager to dive into my specific role, I wanted to briefly share a bit about my background and what drives me. My journey has been one of continuous learning and building.

I am thrilled to have founded Vita Aeterna.AI, where I focus on driving innovation, particularly in AI and its practical applications that provide a global ecosystem of safety, security, and convenience through a military-grade VPN with an integrated suite of features. This involves everything from high-level strategic planning and fostering key partnerships to getting deeply involved in the technical aspects. Thus far I am the sole contributor and I’m proud to say I won the Business Leadership Excellence Award for this work.

Prior to that, I honed my skills in research and development at Definitive Drafting & Design. There, I led multidisciplinary projects, designed custom hardware, and developed software tools to improve team efficiency. I also authored a peer-reviewed theoretical publication in Advances in Materials Physics and Chemistry which was a challenging but rewarding experience. In addition to that, I’ve developed numerous optimizations within advanced energy, propulsion, and various shuttle systems. My computer and 3D printers empower me to create unlimited possibilities.

My technical journey has been quite broad. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work, from programming and hardware engineering to web development and even cybersecurity. I run multiple systems cloned from a custom linux build that is capable of nearly anything. More recently, I’ve been deeply involved in generative AI and machine learning, exploring its potential to automate and solve complex problems. I am also comfortable working with various systems like Linux, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, etc .

I’m familiar with severely languages on both ends to accomplish whatever task comes my way. What truly motivates me is the desire to translate cutting-edge technology into real-world impact. I’m driven by a strong internal desire for excellence, and I’m always looking for ways to optimize processes and find innovative solutions. I strive to combine data-driven decision-making with intuition, and I believe in fostering positive collaboration and supportive team environments. All of my efforts culminate to advancing society and to keeping us protected in both the physical and digital realms.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I’m passionate about giving back to the community. I believe in continuous learning, pushing boundaries, and using my skills to make a positive difference. I love to spend time with my family, including my quantum kitty :grinning_cat:, golf, play chess, and play video games. I’m eager to learn from all of you, contribute my skills, and work together to achieve great things.
